Reporting to the Planning & Procurement Manager, the Planning & Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the supply of all products to an iconic restaurant chain with outlets nationally. They will work cross-functionally to plan, source promotional product, and optimise inventory. The Planning & Purchasing Specialist is also responsible for the category management of a portfolio of products and this includes working with suppliers to reduce total cost.

Candidates will come from a fast-paced environment and have a robust understanding of planning and purchasing, preferably in the food sector. They will be analytical and fact-based, with excellent communication skills and the ability to make decisions whilst there is still ambiguity. Candidates may come from a quantity surveying or estimating background but must be able to demonstrate cost planning experience in the early stages of projects including buildings and supporting infrastructure. The Senior Cost Planner is a pivotal role to good asset management and planning. A self-starter they will be able to work effectively with technical, planning and financial experts to deliver robust and well thought through cost plans.
